Frequently Asked Questions

  • My current rate is $200 per clinical hour (50 minutes). I do not work directly with insurance companies although I’m able to provide you with a receipt each month.

  • I do not keep a waitlist; I either have openings or I do not. However, I strongly encourage you to consider a Girl Strong group for your daughter as she will gain important coping skills and join with others in a positive setting.

  • Great question and one that is actually guided by your family. I recommend meeting weekly for the first three to four weeks so that your child and I may develop a rapport. After that, many people transition to bi-weekly appointments. However, you may start with bi-weekly meetings or we may keep meeting every week for a bit. Unless there are safety concerns, I will accomodate your family’s needs.

  • I do not have a medical degree so I’m unable to offer an opinion on whether medicine is needed or not. However, I am able to connect you with some providers in the area who can go over options with you.

  • Talk with them! There is a misconception that talking about suicide increases risk but it doesn’t.*

Share your concerns, offer support, and go to the hospital or call for additional support if you are still concerned.

  • I have three Girl Strong groups running at any one time. There is a group of high school students, one for middle school, and a third for elementary students.

Each group is closed which means people start together and end together, not just hop in along the way.
